DAY 45, JULY 13

(CHRIS) We got up a bit late again on the 13th. After I got back from Mass, me and the boys (except Sam, who was getting a haircut) went to John's house, chatted awhile, then took Jason (who slept at John's) to Chuck E. Cheese where we met Sam. We five little boys had a grand time playing air hockey and video games. We got lucky because the manager was testing all the games, so we got to play alot for free.

(SAM) Then we went to Kidd Castle which was a very large, but very run down stone house. The frame and roof of the house are still intact but the whole inside has been gutted by fire. It has not been lived in for hundreds of years. The garage had collapsed but the tunnel from the house to the garage was still passable. This tunnel was used to store illegal liquor during the years of prohibition. We amused ourselves by breaking in the boarded doors even though there were many free passages into the house. Jason let it be heard in a loud voice that you can't keep kids out of Kidd Castle. And indeed there was much proof for this because we could see all the writing on the wall. We went upstairs and threw bricks and plaster out the windows. Then we went down into the dark and spooky basement. Chris then led us down a trail to Irondequoit Bay. The trail was steep but we eventually got to a nice little dock with hinges. Jason and Jon jumped into the water while Matt and I sun bathed. Chris walked down the shore to a tree on which he had carved CF+EL years before. After Jason cut his foot twelve times because of a clam covered can we headed back to the Foley's house.

After Chris had a conference with his dad about where to park the car, we changed for dinner. The Foley's were having guests over, three nuns and a priest from their sister's convent. Dinner was great and we had a lot of fun conversation with the religious. Jason was locked in the basement. After dinner we four Tumbleweeds and Liz, Mary, and Jason went to play volleyball at a lighted court.

(CHRIS) We had a really good time and had some very competitive games. We only paid for an hour, but no one else came and we got to play for an extra 45 minutes. We boys went swimming for a little while. Then we socialized for awhile. Janice came over. Jon went to bed and I went out with Liz, but Katie, Matt, Jason, Sam, and Janice stayed up til 4am. They had a good time just chatting. The highlight was Katie who told about all her past loves and acted drunk and silly.
